‘Hands-On’ Educational Science School Assemblies Your Students Will Love!

“Science is a way of thinking much more than it is a body of knowledge.” – Carl Sagan

How many times have you seen STEM science school assemblies that are a real bore (like Ferris Bueller’s teacher…zzzzz…)?

Or maybe a so-called STEM assembly program that is all entertainment but no actual scientific knowledge?

Here’s the good news: “The Wacky Science Show” is an award-winning educational program (Dow Chemical’s Touch-Tech Award) that your students will learn from. As science has taught us, we the learn the MOST when we are having the most FUN!

This STEM School Assembly is Filled with Interactive & Silly Fun

Every good educator knows that the best way to truly ‘reach’ kids with science is to make it fun – that’s what I’ve done with this science school assembly program.

The entire school show looks like something from a cartoon: the set design and backdrop and banners for this assembly program look like it’s straight from Jimmy Neutron!

With colorful banners and backdrops, a goofy ‘Dr. Science’ performing persona, and a high energy pace, I also get over twelve students onstage and involved!

More than that, the science experiments during this show are hysterical fun! There are contests, sound effects, music, comedy, LOTS of opportunities for kids to volunteer, and more.

Here’s REALLY great news for middle schools: I have also developed a version of this assembly specifically for middle school students!

During “The Wacky Science Show,” kids will:

  • Take a trip to the circus where the World’s Strongest Kid demonstrates the awesome power of levers.
  • Lessons in science safety and the Scientific Method are illustrated with a crazy balloon experiment and the story of Cinderella (trust me, it’s all science!).
  • Four students become Stinky Dinosaurs to teach your kids about chemical indicators and reactions.
  • Kids get to vote whether they want to see a teacher’s head SHRINK or get HUGE with an amazing optical illusion.
  • Middle school kids remain suspended in the air with NO support using the concept of balanced forces.

That’s just a sample of the goofy stunts in this hysterical STEM school assembly program!

If all of this sounds a little nutty, it’s because I go crazy to make sure the kids have the time of their lives learning all of these cool science experiments!

Teachers, Students, Faculty, and Parents Love the “Wacky Science” School Assembly

Here’s what a recent school client had to say:

The Wacky Science Show, wacky science show, science assembly, science school assembly

“Cris Johnson just performed 2 assemblies of his “Wacky Science Show” at our elementary school. The PTA is always in search of new STEM assemblies for the student body and Cris did an awesome job of tailoring the assemblies in a grade-appropriate manner (prek-2nd grade, and 3rd-5th grade). The teachers raved about how fun and educational the shows were. As an added bonus, he selected at least a dozen children at each of the assemblies so the kids were thoroughly engaged. We look forward to booking Cris again with one of his other shows!”

Thanks again!

Science 4

This is an Actual SCIENCE School Assembly Program with REAL Scientific Experiments and Lessons.

IMPORTANT: THIS IS NOT A MAGIC SHOW! There are other so-called science school assemblies offered by magicians that are nothing more than magic tricks with a pasted-on, weak science message.

While a lot of my assembly programs do feature magic, this is not one of them.

Simply put, the science is amazing by itself, so I make sure science is the star of this show! “The Wacky Science Show,” is an actual science-based riot!

And while the students cheer the crazy antics, the teachers love these lessons:

  • An easy way to remember the Scientific Method
  • Math, Life, and Physical science experiments
  • Chemical indicators
  • Air pressure
  • States of matter
  • Safety in science

  • Technology and science
  • Centrifugal / Centripetal forces
  • And for Middle School audiences:
    – Kinetic / Potential energy
    – Experiments in Psychology
    – Balanced Forces
    – And much more

wacky science show

While these science school assemblies can be described as goofy, silly, and weird, it’s also highly educational.

The Wacky Science Show” is hysterical fun that captivates kids in a way that makes them want to learn more about science.

During this STEM school assembly, a dozen students participate onstage in crazy experiments to discover how science is a part of our everyday lives. Using age-appropriate comedy, music, sound effects, and goofy surprises, this school show perfectly illustrates just how fun science is!

The Wacky Science Show” is a science school assembly that will be the highlight of your school year and a program that your students and teachers will remember for years, guaranteed!

“Cris Johnson did a good job of engaging the audience. All of the students were really excited about the various scientific experiments. He included a lot of detailed scientific information, but presented the information in such a manner that it was understandable for all students. He also did a good job of managing the crowd and bringing the kids back when they started to get over excited to ensure they were still paying attention.”

A super huge thank you for delivering an amazing assembly to the 3rd and 4th grade students at Wayne Elementary School. Your assembly was the perfect kick start to motivating our students to participate in their upcoming science fair. Your “Wacky Science” performance was exactly what I was hoping for! In looking around the auditorium during your performance, all eyes were on you, kids were excited, and each and every one of them were engaged. Your assembly was educational, animated, and so much fun! We will be looking to have you back next year!

“We loved your program! It was such a pleasure to have you and the kids loved it. I’ve only heard wonderful reviews from teachers. many many thanks.”

Rebecca Fletcher

“Every student and even every teacher were engaged in The Wacky Science Show! It was a perfect combination of humorous grabbing entertainment and knowledgable interesting science experiments. All of the experiments were appropriate and simple for the students to watch and understand. Our school has a large ENL (English as a New Language) population, and the scientific language that was used was supported by visuals or examples with an experiment. Students got to participate in their seats as well as on stage, making everyone feel like an included scientist. Cris was also very entertaining and patient. This will be a great assembly to have at our school again!”

Rachel Melnick, Teacher

“We loved his science school assemblies!! It was high energy and extremely engaging! The fast-pace kept all the students on their toes! The music added excitement that drew their attention in even further! I love how many student volunteers he chose because that made the students want to participate!!! I especially love how he asked the students to return to their classrooms quietly so that he would be invited back again! 😊 I cannot wait to look into his other show topics so that we can book again!”

“Cris just finished his show. I want to tell you how absolutely incredible he was! He kept every single student and staff member engaged for the entire 45 minute period.
